Appointments
I see Patients by appointment only.
This is to ensure that there is no long wait in an outer office followed by an additional wait in the exam room.
At your scheduled appointment time, I will be there waiting to personally escort you to the treatment room to begin the visit.
Medical Visits are also by appointment so that you do not have to wait.
There will also be ample time to listen to your problem and treat it appropriately.
Your Health
Osteopathic Medicine,as I practice it, is guided by Osteopathic Philosophy and gentle Manual Manipulation. Osteopathic Medicine is a philosophy where the mobility of the muscles, ligaments, tendons and bones are of primary importance. Osteopathy is therefore different type of patient care with treatment based on anatomy and physiology rather than test results.
I focus on locating and treating the cause of the problem. I don’t waste time treating the effect, which is commonly known as signs and symptoms, aka the pain.
Very often a patient will come to my office after having seen many health care providers. Despite having received the “correct medical care.” Their problem or symptom has persisted. This is because the “effect” and not the “cause” has been treated.
I will give you a simple example. A common complaint I see is low back pain (the “effect”). I look for the “cause” of the low back pain. Often the cause is located in a different location than in the low back. The Low back pain may be caused by any many of other areas. For example, the cause may be the upper back, ribs, shoulder, or leg. The list of causes of low back pain is long. If a physician treats the “effect” of low back pain rather than the cause, the symptoms will persist.
The Osteopathic Difference
The philosophy of Osteopathy ( D.O.) is that the musculoskeletal system is primary and the organ system is secondary. Allopathic philosophy (M.D.) practices with the belief the organ system is primary and the musculoskeletal system is secondary. And often It is because of this fundamental difference I am able to succeed where others have failed.
The history and philosophy of Osteopathic medicine is fascinating. Please go to the resources page and follow the links to find out more, or contact me with any questions you have.

I have seen Dr. Lee Wisnioski for OMT (osteopathic manipulation) for years. He has treated my kids and my parents as well. He is thorough and is really good at what he does. He spends a lot of time with patients. He schedules new patients for approximately an hour and follow-up patients for approximately half hour. Some of the visit is discussion/consultation/screening and the rest is treatment. He runs on time and asks his patients to be on time. Parking is easy, right outside the door. Access is easy from I95 and the Turnpike. Staff is vaccinated and wears masks. He is now located at 10887 North Military Trail Suite 5, Palm Beach Gardens – across the street from his old office.

FAQs
What is osteopathic manual medicine (OMM)?
Osteopathic manual medicine, also known as osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT), is a hands-on approach used by osteopathic physicians to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury. It involves manipulating the body’s muscles and joints to improve overall health.
What conditions can be treated with osteopathic manual medicine?
OMM can be used to address various conditions such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, joint issues, asthma, sinus problems, and even digestive issues. It’s also used to enhance the body’s natural healing abilities.
How does osteopathic manual medicine differ from chiropractic care?
While both disciplines involve manual techniques, osteopathic medicine takes a more comprehensive approach, considering the patient’s overall health and focusing on the body’s musculoskeletal system while also integrating traditional medical practices.
Is osteopathic manual medicine safe?
Yes, when performed by a trained and licensed osteopathic physician, OMM is generally safe. It’s non-invasive and typically has fewer side effects compared to some medications or invasive procedures.
What techniques are used in osteopathic manual medicine?
OMM includes various techniques such as soft tissue stretching, gentle pressure, resistance, and manipulation of joints or muscles to improve mobility, relieve pain, and promote healing.
How long does an osteopathic manual medicine session last?
The duration of a session can vary depending on the individual’s condition and the techniques used. Sessions typically range from 30 to 60 minutes.
Who can benefit from osteopathic manual medicine?
OMM can benefit individuals of all ages, from infants to the elderly. It’s particularly helpful for those dealing with chronic pain, athletes recovering from injuries, and individuals seeking alternative or complementary treatments.
Is osteopathic manual medicine covered by insurance?
Many insurance plans cover osteopathic manual medicine when performed by a licensed osteopathic physician. However, coverage can vary, so it’s best to check with your insurance provider beforehand.
